As a team with over 100 years of collective teacher and librarian experience, we live our mission everyday, promoting reading even at home on the floor with your best friend.

Our Story

Our Co-Founder and CEO, Zach Rubin, was completely transformed when Mary Pope Osborne visited his elementary school. He went from being a non-reader to voraciously reading every Magic Tree House book he could find, and it just grew from there. When public librarians using our sister company, Library Speakers Consortium, started requesting children’s authors and illustrators, we realized the best way to connect students and authors was during the school day, and BookBreak was born.
